Day Long Intensive Class
This class is a great way to get familiar with glass in a welcoming, safe, and fun environment. This class will be one of the most hands-on classes and will cover gathering out of the furnace, proper marvering and shaping techniques as well as color application, and safety. Students will make a paperweight, a flower, and several ornament/sun catchers at the very least, but will likely make more based on time available and how each member of the class progresses through the forms that will be covered. This class is a great way to immerse yourself in glass making and to make objects of great beauty. There will be discussions on the history of glass as well as chemistry as we work. Begins at 10:00 am and goes until 5:00 pm and is currently available on weekends only. Bring a bag lunch or you can get something quick at Mikies 7th restaurant or at Super Value Mart just around the corner from the studio.
